I have been working as a food writer for nearly two decades and published my first cookery book back in 2013. Since then, over 150,000 copies of my cookbooks have been sold in the UK (plus more in countries like the US, Germany and the Netherlands), and my recipes have also appeared in the Telegraph, Times, House & Garden, Guardian and Mail on Sunday. I’m the co-author of a series of books for the LEON restaurant groups, which includes Happy Soups and Happy One-Pot Cooking, as well as Big Salads and Big Flavours, and I wrote the Ginger Pig Christmas Cookbook and Ginger Pig One Pot alongside the Ginger Pig butchery’s kitchen teams. I regularly appear as a guest chef on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

I run a photography studio, Kemble House, which comes in very handy for cookery book shoots (and has a much bigger and better kitchen than I do at home!). My husband is the food and drink photographer Steven Joyce, and he often shoots the images to go alongside my recipes. The photographs below are from just a few of the projects we have collaborated on over the years. (Unlike Steve, photography is not one of my talents, so my phone is full of badly lit photos of food which I collect as a record of flavour combinations I’ve tasted and want to work into a recipe.)
